“Why I Stopped Scamming”: Yahoo Boy Shares Message from Female Client That Changed Him

A young man identified simply by his TikTok handle, @alpha_male471, has made a shocking declaration of his decision to quit internet fraud, popularly referred to as “yahoo yahoo.” In an emotional message he shared on the social media platform, he revealed that such a decision was inspired by a very touching contact he had with one of his victims, a female client. He sought help from other people by writing, “Dear believer!! If you believe in this prayer pls pray for me,” asking netizens to pray for him as he quits his ways.

The moment when @alpha_male471 realized the error of his actions and decided to change was after one conversation with a lady whom he had tried to scam. She shared her sad story about losing her daughter, how painful it all was, and how true she was to her suffering. So deeply moved was he by her story and the prayers she offered up for him-even after she’d found out she’d been scammed-that overwhelming guilt compelled him to confess to her the wrong he’d perpetrated on her, apologizing for the pain.
