Super Eagles Coach Peseiro Provides Injury Update on Goalkeeper Nwabali as Fans Voice Concern

Euper Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has confirmed that goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali underwent scans for a potential knee injury following the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 match against Cameroon. Despite concerns, Peseiro expressed his hope to retain Nwabali as the goalkeeper for the upcoming quarter-finals against Angola on Friday.

Nwabali sustained the knee injury during the round of 16 clash when he collided with Cameroon winger Georges Nkoudou. As a result, he had to be substituted, with Francis Uzoho taking his place after being stretchered off the pitch. Presently, Nwabali has undergone scans to assess the severity of the knee injury, and the team is awaiting the results, as reported by Sports Brief.
