A student of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has gotten many talking due to his brilliant academic records. Ejiofor Chizoba Victor, a just graduated pharmacy graduate has graduated outstanding with a cumulative grade point average of 4.93 out of 5.0, turning him into one of the best performing students in his graduating class.
Ejiofor’s academic journey went viral after education advocate Alex Onyia posted his story online. According to Alex, Ejiofor had to make As in almost all courses, except one GS course, which he made a B because he did not take the course seriously. Well, that did little to deter Ejiofor from being the best pharmaceutical student of his set and the overall best student at UNN in 2023.
This becomes even more encouraging considering the personal issues he had to go through in pursuit of higher education. Ejiofor lost both his parents and had to fend for himself through his studies for his degree. To be able to pay his school fees, he combined work and studying, doing photography on the side to ensure he was able to complete his education. Because of the resilience he has shown, his determination earned him very many praise from all corners, many acknowledged the genius behind his academic achievements.
Alex Onyia, who has always been very supportive of Ejiofor’s success, emphasized that he has the potential to do even better. He confirmed that Ejiofor intends to further his education by sending applications for scholarships abroad, hoping to continue studying in Europe or the United States. To this end, Ejiofor is preparing for the GRE and English proficiency tests, which would qualify him to apply for foreign scholarships.
Speaking of confidence in Ejiofor’s future, Alex had said in words, “I have assured him that there will be no stopping from here on. God’s willing, he will reach his full potential.” By every indication and considering his great academic record, work, and hard work put into making it this far, Ejiofor is remarkably on course to achieve his dreams on the international stage.
