Nigerians Reflect on NASU and SSANU Strike Conclusion: Impact Assessed

Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) concluded their seven-day warning strike on Sunday, March 24.

SSANU President Mohammed Ibrahim instructed union members, including those from NASU, to return to work on Monday, March 25, according to a circular sent to branch chairmen of public universities nationwide.

SSANU and NASU expressed discontent with the alleged withholding of salaries by the Bola Tinubu-led administration. In response to the development, some Nigerians voiced their opinions.

Chima Echefule questioned the effectiveness of the warning strike, while Ezeogu Chukwuemeka Emmanuel urged those who enjoyed the break to resume work.
