A man recently took to social media to express his distress after his pregnant wife insisted that only her pastor accompany her to the delivery room. An anonymous man shared his predicament with Facebook influencer Racheal Joseph for advice and support.
Writing to Racheal, the man explained that his wife is expecting their first child, a milestone he had been anticipating. However, he was shocked when his wife told him that she didn’t want him by her side in the theatre, but rather her pastor. I was very confused and hurt, and wondered-shouldn’t the husband be the one who shares all major moments with one’s wife, rather than the pastor?.
Racheal Joseph shared the post for her followers to give opinions and advice. She posted the man’s plea: “From my inbox: ‘Post this for me. Between myself and my wife’s pastor, who is supposed to enter the theatre with her? My wife insists it is her pastor. She is having our first baby. Please she is here as you follower'”.
The man’s predicament triggered quite a debate in Racheal’s Facebook followers, and many people gave different viewpoints on his situation. This experience shows the complicated feelings and struggles that can emerge upon childbirth, especially when conflicting beliefs and expectations are at stake.
