JAMB Sends Message to UTME 2024 Candidates Regarding Profile Code Reactivation

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has instructed specific candidates preparing for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to text ‘RESEND’ to either 55019 or 66019, depending on their previous choice, to “reactivate” their profile code. This announcement was made on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, in response to a tweet.

According to Legit.ng, JAMB conducts the annual UTME in Nigeria, where a student’s score determines their admission to tertiary-level institutions such as universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

Creating or reactivating a profile code is a simple process if UTME candidates adhere to JAMB’s instructions. Upon correct execution, candidates will promptly receive an SMS containing their data and the unique profile code. JAMB emphasizes the use of personal phone numbers for communication.

Candidates are advised to ensure that no special characters are included in the SMS they send. To reactivate their JAMB profile code, they simply need to send the provided command to 55019 or 66019, and the issue will be resolved.

Meanwhile, in preparation for the 2024 UTME, Adesegun Ogungbayi, chairman of MIMS Educational Services, Lagos, urged candidates to establish a study schedule. Ogungbayi recommended creating study groups, practicing time management, completing the syllabus, setting specific goals, prioritizing weak areas, practicing past questions, seeking clarification from teachers, utilizing online resources, practicing time management with CBT apps or centers, and maintaining a positive and confident mindset until the examination is completed.
