“I Cut Her Off”: Man Shares How He Responded When Lady Didn’t Show Up After Taking N85k for Transport Fare

A man recounted how he dealt with a lady who accepted transport fare from him twice but failed to show up. In a detailed thread on X, @Oluwanonso_Esq shared that after connecting on X, they flirted and agreed to meet in person.

During his law externship in Asaba, he sent her N30k to spend the weekend with him. However, the Lagos-based lady became unreachable on the agreed day. “The Friday she was supposed to arrive in Asaba, her phone number wasn’t going through. I called and texted all day, but there was no response. Her phone was switched off, and all my texts were unanswered. On Sunday evening, she called me and told me she fainted on her way to the park,” he wrote.

The second time, he sent her N50k to visit, but she claimed she lost a cousin from her mother’s side. Pretending to understand, he plotted his revenge.

After completing law school, he lied to her about securing a job at an American company that included a car. He sent her pictures of a well-equipped duplex, and this time, she offered to spend the week with him. This set the stage for his revenge.

“On the day she was to come to Abuja, she called me early in the morning to update me before leaving the house. She called when she got to the park, when the bus left Lagos, and when she reached the Lokoja stopover. She called again when she arrived at the park in Abuja. I told her to walk out of the park and take a bike to RainOil Petrol Station at Gwarinpa, where I would be waiting to pick her up with my car. After getting off the phone with her, I switched off my phone, plugged it in to charge, took off my shirt, and slept in front of my fan.”

In a related incident, another man caught a lady who took N3k for transport fare but refused to visit his house.
