Graduate Heartbroken as He Accuses 100-Level Girlfriend of ‘Using’ and Dumping Him

A graduate has narrated how he has been thrown into emotional turmoil after accusing his girlfriend, who is in 100L, of using and dumping him. The young man, who spoke anonymously on a relationship platform, sought advice on how to heal from the painful experience.

He could remember how he was supporting his girlfriend financially, thinking she was engaged in his behalf and her studies. The man had completed his studies and thought his girlfriend meant her words. She had just enrolled in college, and he felt responsible for helping her. Being considerate and loving, he took upon himself the sponsorship of many of her needs with the hope that this would relieve her burden so she could attend to her education.

He also claimed to have catered for a part of her school fees, paid some of her hostel fees, and even paid for her medical bills when she was ill. He also gave her money many times to help her to take good care of herself so that she could enjoy a life full of comfort and happiness. According to the graduate, he thought he was helping his girlfriend and thus smoothing the pathway to heaven for their relationship.

His world came down, however, when she suddenly broke up with him. He felt very betrayed and his emotions were shattered during the break-up. Later on, he found out that all this time she was having a boyfriend and was using him to fulfill her financial need and kept him completely ignorant of her intentions.

In his tearful message, he mentioned how disconsolate he felt. He confessed that the pain of the betrayal had got him to a point where he couldn’t eat or drink, and he had been crying since the breakup. His feeling of emotional damage was deep, for he had presumed his girlfriend’s innocence and had invested so much in her well-being.
