Doyin Hassan Clarifies He Waited 24 Years for Children, Not His Wife, Upon Celebrating Their First Child’s Birth

Veteran actor Doyin Hassan has issued a clarification regarding his recent announcement about the birth of his daughter. Initially, there was a misconception that he and his current wife had been waiting for 24 years to have a child. Hassan has clarified that it was he, personally, who had been waiting for this duration, not his wife, whom he married only last year.

In his statement, Hassan emphasized that the journey to fatherhood was his own, distinct from the experiences of any women he had been in relationships with over the years. He disclosed that his first marriage took place in 1999, and since then, he experienced the loss of two partners, Adeola and Bolanle, before marrying Oladunni in October 2022. The couple welcomed their daughter in the current year.

Hassan’s statement, as quoted, reads: “I was the one who shared a testimony of my tears and toils for 24 years. Meeting Oladunni was God’s redirection of my divine journey.
