Do You Know William Troost-Ekong was born in Harlem, Netherlands, to a Dutch mother and a Nigerian father from Etinan, Akwa Ibom State?

Due to his decision to pursue a career in football instead of continuing his education, his parents separated.

Only his mother supported his dreams and signed his documents to gain admission into the Tottenham Football Academy in England.

It wasn’t until 2018 that Ekong reconciled with his father and today he’s taking Nigeria to AFCON Final courtesy of his incredible defending skills…
