After their victorious Round of 16 match against Namibia in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, members of the Angola national team have received cash rewards and material gifts in preparation for their upcoming quarterfinal clash with Nigeria.

Dubbed the Palancas Negras, the team was assured of further cash incentives should they progress to the final stages of the tournament in Ivory Coast, as stated by the Angola Press Agency.

Additionally, a generous firm has pledged an iPhone 15 and a significant sum of $250,000 to both the national team and technical staff, aiming to bolster Angola’s chances of defeating Nigeria.

The highly anticipated match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Angola team is scheduled to take place at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 6:00 PM.
