It’s been over two years since the passing of Olarenwaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan, and his close friend and colleague, Innocent Idibia ‘2Baba’, continues to pay tribute to him. 2Baba’s recent heartfelt message, reflecting on Sound Sultan’s memory and discussing changes in the music industry, has evoked emotions across social media.

In a poignant tribute, the African Queen singer shared a video montage featuring various snapshots of Sound Sultan. He acknowledged the realization of their shared dreams for African and Nigerian music, expressing that, despite the success, he now sees himself as an up-and-coming artist.

Addressing Sound Sultan, who passed away on July 11, 2021, 2Baba conveyed a determination not to yield easily to the emergence of new stars in the music industry.
